How long should I wear a Medical Compression Garment?

While it’s most important to follow your doctor’s recommendations, most doctors recommend wearing the garment for 3 to 6 weeks, many patients, myself included, feel it necessary to wear the garment even longer, sometimes up to 6 months or a year. That’s because the garment gives you a great sense of security and feeling of “held-togetherness” that makes recovery much easier.

How do I select my body garment size before my procedure?

Many patients wonder why they should use pre-operative measurements to select a garment when they will be smaller after their procedure. The transformation following an aesthetic procedure is a process, which may take several weeks or months. Although smaller after your procedure, your body may be the same size as your pre-operative shape for a few weeks due to postoperative swelling.  I know that doesn’t sound fun, but it’s true and something you need to be prepared for.

I had a C-section and was sent home from the hospital with a binder. It’s been two weeks, what’s next? This thing is bulky and shows, but I still like the support.

I’ve had two c-sections and don’t know how I would have survived the first couple weeks without my binder! I agree the binders can be bulky and that’s the last thing you want to show off. It’s time for a postpartum support garment that is easy to conceal under any outfit whether you're wearing sweats, jeans, or a dress!
